đŸ„š Egg colors are naturally starting to fade.
Please brace yourself for this seasonal reality. The “ink jets” are beginning to run low after these girls have been laying steadily since the end of January. But don’t panic—the magic is still in the genetics, not just the shell you receive today.đŸ„š

✹ Speckles and blooms ebb and flow throughout the season. They are typically heavier in cooler weather and tend to wane as temperatures rise. That doesn’t mean they are gone. Those traits are still hidden in the genetics and can absolutely reappear in future generations.

YOU ARE PURCHASING 1 DOZEN OF HATCHING EGGS price does not include shipping .đŸ„š I try to include eggs that have a bloom on them or at least as many as I can. But with the later season that’s not always possible since the bloom are naturally starting to fade.

You will be notified by text message or phone call a week prior to my intent to ship your hatching eggs to make sure you are in a position to receive them.

Update: If you make a purchase anytime after the month of March : I am currently out as far as July/August for shipping hatching egg orders. So you likely won’t be getting your order anytime before August. This breed doesn’t always cooperate when it comes to laying eggs after the daylight savings time changes.

I ship by USPS and UPS and it really all depends on where you are located that determines which shipping service I  use. I can tell you this:  due to horrible shipping and handling issues in the past it’s hard to say which one is better because they both have left me down. That includes both as a buyer and as a seller. If you leave me your phone number I’ll reach out to you a week before I intend to ship to make sure you are able receive them.

Please note that when working with chickens and other live animals, I cannot always predict production levels. I do not maintain a waitlist—if you haven’t placed a preorder, you will not be considered for first-come, first-serve availability. Once your order is placed, that will reserve your spot in line. Orders are sent out depending upon when payment is received and availability.

Langshan hatching eggs are sold on a limited basis..

Who wants to add these gorgeous rare egg colors to their basket?

Here at GNC we carry blue, black and splash Langshans. These Croad Langshans have been raised to the UK Standard. Our hens produce large light brown eggs that occasionally have a beautiful pink, lavender or plum bloom over them. They sometimes are even covered with plum speckles.Technically there is no such thing as a pink egg , they are tan . These eggs hold their unique color but the bloom often fades over the course of a couple days. We will mark the eggs with a heart if it had a bloom over it when it was collected. And we will mark it with a star if it has a bloom and speckles . Not all eggs will have a bloom over them. We collect the most brilliant blooms in the spring/early summer months. We notice less blooms appearing as the season goes on. We still collect eggs with blooms throughout the year but not as often. We will include as many eggs as we can that have a bloom when sending out hatching egg orders. Not all orders will include eggs with blooms. It all depends on Mother Nature at the time we collect your eggs.

Our Croad Langshan bloodline is directly from Judy Gaines in Ohio. They are very rare and hardy birds with such amazing temperments. The roosters are gentle giants and the hens are very sweet.  Our Croad Langhans can withstand harsh cold and hot temperatures. The hens lay 140-150 eggs per year.

Fertility is checked often and is excellent here at home.

Orders can be placed directly through our website. Payments are required in full at the time of purchase. Once your order is placed, that will reserve your spot in line. Orders are sent out depending upon when payment is received and availability.

Egg color genetics are complex. While heavy blooms can be selectively bred for, some offspring will NOT inherit a heavy bloom and will lay a plain brown egg. Some offspring will have a heavy bloom but the egg will look heavy bloom cream or pastel peach colored.

HEAVY BLOOMS FADE AS THE SEASON PROGRESSES. Pink eggs are a novelty that generally does not last all year long. When a pullet first comes into lay, her bloom is often very heavy and eggs can appear a stunning shade of light ballerina pink. As she continues laying over several months, the bloom may be deposited more thinly, giving her eggs a dusty pink, mauve or even a non-pink appearance. It is important that hatching egg buyers alike know that in most hens, heavy blooms will wane as the season progresses. If you purchase hatching eggs the resulting offspring should lay a bloom since I only hatch chicks from bloomed eggs but not a guarantee.

HATCHING EGGS ARE A GAMBLE. We, nor any other breeder can guarantee results. We DO guarantee that eggs are collected fresh, and we test our own fertility weekly. The same eggs you receive are the same eggs that I hatch myself. Once the eggs leave my hands they are out of my control. We DO NOT offer refunds / returns under any circumstances. Shipping can be hard on eggs, they can be delayed in transport, roughly handled, or worse. As a breeder and egg shipper of 5 + years I have witnessed some ridiculous things with the postal service , both as a seller and as a buyer. Although the vast majority of the time they do a good job.. If the eggs arrived damaged, or delayed YOU can file a claim online at USPS.com. but even that is getting more and more complicated when it comes to hatching eggs.

Your eggs will be shipped to the shipping address that you provide upon check out so please make sure it is accurate. Please also include your phone number. Each egg is inspected for cracks / defects prior to packaging. I do not ship dirty eggs. each egg is individually, placed in foam with the pointy side down.  Depending on the number of egg orders I have (sometimes I get 5 orders in the same day) and the rate at which my birds are laying it’s possible that there may be a delay in your order. I work through my egg orders as quickly as I can.
