DUBAI (UNITED ARAB EMIRATES) 225+ YEAR OLD SOURDOUGH STARTER

You will receive 50g to 60g of fresh starter in a small container.

So you’re probably wondering how I got this starter ?

While traveling overseas to United Arab Emirates Dubai as well as Lahore, Pakistan in the year of 2005. ✈️  I was very fortunate enough to acquire two very special sourdough starters and can I just say delicious! The yeastie beasties are very active in both. And They make a beautiful crusty on the outside soft on the inside bread!! It's hard to choose which one I love the most.  Both of these starters were obtained from two different families.  I am pictured above with the family . It was a once in a lifetime trip and one that changed my life. If you’ve never traveled abroad to a third world country i highly recommend doing so . Not to risk your safety but rather to appreciate what we have here in the USA. We often need reminders of how good we have it. The funny thing is I’m often asked what I missed the most when I was there. I missed my kids the most however the second thing I missed the most was walking barefoot through the grass 😆 There is no grass there just dirt and sand . Even though my time there was short of just two weeks I got to experience and see a lot in Dubai  and Pakistan. I even travelled to Northern Pakistan that most people wouldn’t dare travel too. There are good people and bad people all over the world. Getting to experience another culture was something I’ll never forget and even more so when they give you family heirlooms to be cherished forever 🥰I will never forget my time there and the wonderful people who I gladly call my friends. Both are unique in their own right and are said to be 225+ years old !
