šŸ“¦ Let’s Talk Shipping

Just another gentle reminder that once a package leaves our hands, shipping is completely outside of our control.

We do not have special contacts, priority handling, or inside connections with USPS or UPS. The tracking information you see is the same information we see. Because of this, we also do not make carrier recommendations anymore, as shipping outcomes can vary greatly and many customers unfortunately expect us to control circumstances we simply cannot control.

Last year, UPS performed exceptionally well for many customers. This year, however, packages seem to be handled much more aggressively overall.

Each shipping method comes with its own pros and cons:

Ā

āœˆļø UPS 2nd Day Air
Packages are generally handled more directly by people instead of automated conveyor systems, which can reduce physical impact. However, air travel introduces another variable: pressure and altitude changes that can affect egg air cells during transport.

Some customers still achieve excellent hatch rates shipped by air, while others struggle. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed formula, and we cannot predict individual outcomes.

Ā

šŸ¤– UPS Ground & UPS 3 Day Select
These options avoid altitude and pressure changes, but packages are often handled through highly automated systems involving conveyor belts, drops, sorting chutes, and robotic processing.

Ā

And of course, we have all seen the reality of how USPS shipping carriers sometimes handle packages at distribution centers.

At the end of the day, shipping fertile hatching eggs will always involve risk—regardless of the carrier selected. Temperature fluctuations, rough handling, delays, vibration, air cell damage, and fertility variables are all part of the reality of shipped eggs.

This risk is acknowledged multiple times throughout checkout before an order can be completed.

We do everything possible on our end:

  • careful collection

  • secure packaging

  • proper labeling

  • rapid shipment

  • and stable handling before departure

But once those eggs leave the farm, many variables are no longer within our control.

If the risks associated with shipped hatching eggs would cause significant frustration or stress, local pickup or sourcing locally may honestly be the better option. 🄚

šŸ’›This is anĀ add on to your hatching eggs purchase and must be included when checking out for MOREĀ than TWOĀ dozen of eggs. Please add to cart.šŸ’›

🩷This shipping is also offered to customers who received a recent package from me and were mishandled, eggs broken etc and is offered as a one time courtesy to just pay for shipping cost 🩷

Please Note: When purchasing more than two dozen eggs, additional shipping is needed. We can only ship two dozen per box to ensure safe arrival!Ā
